Identity

• Title is the agent's name in the widget. Use a customer-facing name like "Acme Assistant".
• Avatar is the image beside it. Upload your logo mark or a friendly face. If you created the agent from a URL, we set this from your site's favicon.

Launcher & first impression

One page under Experience, in four groups that follow the visitor's journey: Launcher (type, style, colour, size), Before the chat (the label and the message preview), When the chat opens (the first impression) and Chat behaviour (the floating window). The stage beside it follows along — the closed widget while you work on the first two, then the chat opening as you move into the third.

Type

Four kinds of launcher, in one row:

• Mark — a glyph on a disc. Eight icons — chat bubble, question, headset, sparkles, bot, hand wave, message square, help — each with an Animated toggle, so choosing motion no longer means giving up the glyph you wanted. You can also upload your own image (JPG, PNG, SVG or WebP, up to 2 MB); it should read clearly at a small size.
• Aura — colour that moves on its own. Six styles: Glow, Halftone, Aurora, Prism, Nebula, Gooey.
• Companion — a small character that looks back at your visitors: it follows the cursor, blinks, and reacts. Pick its shape: Circle, Pebble, Squircle or Bubble.
• Orb — particles that think, floating on the page with no disc behind them. Nine styles, each a different motion: Orbit, Ring, Scan, Wave, Braid, Ribbon, Constellation, Puzzle, Morph. Ring is the quietest.

The style library is a gallery of stills drawn from the real launcher — the Mark glyphs on their disc, each Aura style with its own texture, each Companion shape, each Orb pattern — and the one under your pointer comes alive. The stage is where your choice runs at real size. This keeps the page fast: the old picker animated every option at once.

Colour

Every launcher offers two colour behaviours. Brand colour applies the brand colour from the Brand card: the disc of a Mark, the body of a Companion, an Orb's particles, and each Aura style rebuilt around the brand hue — every style keeps its own character (Halftone stays a dot pattern on a dark ground, Prism stays folded bands, Nebula stays a grainy cloud on near-black), so six brand-coloured styles never read as six copies of one orb. Style colour lets the launcher keep the palette it was designed with: each Aura style's own gallery colours, and for Mark, Companion and Orb a neutral ink that follows the widget's light or dark mode.

Existing agents keep exactly the look they had until you choose: Glow and Halftone followed the brand, the other Aura styles carried their own palettes, and everything else was the brand colour.

Size

Small (56px), Medium (64px) or Large (72px). Small is the default and is what every existing agent uses.

Before the chat

• Launcher label — the closed launcher wears a pill that says what it does: Chat with AI by default, in your agent's language. Type your own wording (up to 40 characters) or switch the label off to keep the bare button. The pill takes its look from your widget style: white on Clean, frosted glass on Glass; on phones it shrinks to fit.
• Message preview — a short bubble beside the button before anyone clicks. On by default. It uses your first opening message, so the greeting is written once; untick Use your opening message to give the bubble its own line. Desktop only, once per visit; a visitor who dismisses it does not see it again for a week, and opening the chat settles it for that visit.

When the chat opens

The same page edits the opening moment on the widget's own surface:

• Opening messages — up to three, sent the moment the chat opens. Switch them off and the chat opens on the suggested prompts alone.
• Suggested prompts — up to five questions a visitor can tap instead of typing; drag to reorder. When Meetings is on, a pinned Book a meeting chip stays last and does not count.
• Message box — the hint shown in the box before a visitor types.

Below the card, collapsed until you need it, is the message a Free workspace shows once its monthly conversations run out.

Chat behaviour

• Floating chat window — if a visitor switches to another tab mid-conversation, the chat follows them in a small window that stays on top. Chrome and Edge on desktop; the visitor is asked first, and nothing happens where it is unsupported.

Position and open-on-load

Position is set here. Opening the widget automatically on page load has no toggle — it interrupts, and no workspace was using it. If you specifically want it, add data-auto-open to the embed script tag. See the embed script.
