We build for other people. This one we built for ourselves.

Hey Support comes from GrandWorks, a design and engineering studio that has been shipping for fifteen years. Here's why we built it, and the five things we committed to in writing.

The same brief kept landing on our desk.

A support bot that answers from real content instead of making things up, hands off to a person when it needs to, works on the channels a customer already uses, and costs the same whether you get ten chats or ten thousand.

We tried the platforms that promised it, and each one broke somewhere. Some charged per resolution, so a strong month turned into an expensive one. The rest couldn't reach a human without a workaround, or shipped a bot that was confidently wrong.

So we built our own. First for a few clients, then properly, as a product.

Five things we decided early, and wrote down.

Some of them predate the logo, and none of them have moved since. Every one links to the document that holds us to it.

Unlimited conversations, never per resolution.

We charge a flat price with a conversation pool. When a vendor earns money on every resolved conversation, the roadmap quietly bends toward maximising resolutions, and we did not want that incentive anywhere near our product decisions. Plans run from a free tier at 50 conversations a month up to 20,000. The point is a support bill you can predict in January.

Done for you, if you want it.

We are a studio, so doing the work is not beneath us. On Growth and above we index your content, wire up your integrations, and hand over something that already works. If you would rather do it yourself, the same tools are self-serve and most of setup is pasting a URL. Critics would call the hands-on part unscalable. They are right, and we are comfortable with it: a hundred well-set-up customers beat a thousand abandoned trials.

Honest over impressive.

The agent answers from your indexed content, cites the page each claim came from, and says it doesn't know when your content doesn't cover the question. This demos worse than a bot that always has an answer. It operates better, and operating is the job.

How grounding and citations work

Your content stays yours.

We never train models on it, ours or a vendor's, and you can delete it whenever you like. This should not count as a differentiator in 2026. Here we are.

The price you join at is the price you keep.

When we change pricing, you keep your rate for as long as your subscription stays continuously active. This industry has a short memory: tools get acquired, pricing pages get revised, and grandfathering lasts until the next rebrand. Ours is clause 22 of the terms rather than a line on a marketing page.

Clause 22, grandfathering

A studio, not a startup that appeared last quarter.

GrandWorks has spent fifteen years designing and building products for other companies. We made the Abstruct wallpaper app and put it on more than 1.5 million phones. We've worked with Spotify, OnePlus, OPPO, Hidesign, Borosil, and UNDP India, alongside a long list of teams you won't have heard of. Fifteen years of maintaining software for clients teaches you what launch week cannot: the boring details decide whether something still works in month eighteen. Support software earns its keep in month eighteen, at 2am, on a page you forgot the widget was installed on.
